Celebrate Christmas and Holidays Around The World

Take your students or homeschool children on a trip around the world! Visit Germany, Australia, Russia, Denmark, Spain, England, France, Africa, Canada, Greece, India, Sweden, United States of America, Bahamas, Peru, Israel, Mexico, China, Italy, and Scotland. Learn about Non-Christian holidays of Eid, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, and Diwali. Create a scrapbook to preserve the memories!

During the winter season, I love to teach my students about the various cultures, beliefs, and celebrations that make up this wonderful world. I have found that for me, December is a great month for such exploration.

Celebrating the countries and cultures around the world with a Christmas or Holiday theme, makes great connections for students, and making such connections builds deeper understanding with content all across the curriculum! Our lessons, included in the unit, features academic learning in English Language Arts, Math, Science, Writing, Art, Kitchen Science, Music, Art, Literature, Social Studies, and More.

The Christmas Around the World Scrapbook will keep the memories of the world tour as a Scrapbook. When completed and can be bound into a memento of the experiences. An original song adapted from Let There Be Peace on Earth, brings this around the world experience into a deep understanding of those who are the same and/or different from us.

To enhance the unit, we have included supporting materials on our blog. Be sure to click on the links below to find an enormous amount of media connections to support the learning. We have done the work for you!
